Boney bum shuffle Pebble padded sea sprayed pew A room with a view A Haiku written to remind me of the hours I have spent sitting on the pebbles on Brighton beach, England.
I believe Brighton Beach is the one in my mind that is kind of the ultimate pebbled beach. We visited it in 1987. Hard to walk along a beach like that but I think there was a walkway with beach chairs.
Not the most comfortable type of beach to sit on.
ReplyDeleteElaine, you are quite right. My bottom hurts just by imagining it.
Deletehey i would take the pew of the shore

Brian, I now have lakes close by, but I live hours from the ocean and I miss the waves.

ReplyDeleteYes, a prom with deck chairs and a cute little train and I miss it.
DeleteWonderful, lighthearted haiku. The little bursts of alliteration add to the whimsy. Awesome wordsmithing - with so few words.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy, trying desperately to improve wordsmithing skills. Haiku encourages you to work harder on the words.
DeleteBrighton beach and the sound of seagulls. nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Alan

Thanks for reading it. I appreciate your encouragement.
DeleteI don't see my comment here. Hmmm. Anyway, the view from a beach of pebbles is always wonderful, IF you can ignore the uncomfortable seats!
ReplyDeleteThe uncomfortable seats are all part of the experience
DeleteBrought back memories of when I was visiting Brighton beach!
ReplyDeleteGood ones I hope Nicholas
