Sea View

Boney bum shuffle
Pebble padded sea sprayed pew
A room with a view

A Haiku written to remind me of the hours I have spent sitting on the pebbles on Brighton beach, England.

  1. Not the most comfortable type of beach to sit on.

    1. Brian, I now have lakes close by, but I live hours from the ocean and I miss the waves.

  4. I believe Brighton Beach is the one in my mind that is kind of the ultimate pebbled beach. We visited it in 1987. Hard to walk along a beach like that but I think there was a walkway with beach chairs.

  5. Wonderful, lighthearted haiku. The little bursts of alliteration add to the whimsy. Awesome wordsmithing - with so few words.

    1. Thanks Wendy, trying desperately to improve wordsmithing skills. Haiku encourages you to work harder on the words.

  9. I don't see my comment here. Hmmm. Anyway, the view from a beach of pebbles is always wonderful, IF you can ignore the uncomfortable seats!
