Limerick

Reading of the Limerick

There once was a boy from New York
Especially fond of roast pork
He sat by the fire
To his mother's great ire
And banged on the floor with a fork

An unsuccessful attempt at Twitter poetry, 1 character over, sorry. Joining with Imaginary garden with real toads.

  1. heck, just abbreviate, that's what they do in twitter land, I believe (I'm not an adherent). So, New York becomes Nu York, or ampersand character (&) for the word 'and'?

Mad Kane would like this limerick, I bet. ~

  5. Funny! Just change it to "mama's" and you're IN. ;)

  6. I like it, Pea. Drop the fourth line to five syllables like the third and you would be less (say, "To his mother's ire").

    1. Thanks Jim I had an idea from someone else, to replace the word mother with mama, which would do the trick. Thanks for your help

  11. You did well - Twitter is just a tad too short for a limerick unless you are very lucky.
