Cliff dwellers

My line has ventured
From Moher through flat lands, here.
Cliff dwellers are we.

***************

Granite holds secrets
Buried prisoners in rock.
Gifts of our ancients

***************
Ancient gifts entombed
Frozen messages in snow.
Words, music, rhythm.

Started for a prompt at Carpe diem http://chevrefeuillescarpediem.blogspot.ch/2013/12/carpe-diem-358-cliffs-of-moher.html
And as it grew it morphed into the prompt Gift at Haiku Heights.
